WORKOUT

This morning I hit the spin bike for a 1 hour PRS Fit endurance spin. The objective was to hold a 95 cadence for the entire hour! Sounds easy, but it's actually not. Try it sometime! The purpose of this workout was to increase turnover and build endurance. I managed to get in 15.1 miles.

The gym was hot this morning! But thank goodness the music was blaring and got me through the ride!

DEVOTION

Today's scripture is one I need to read every single day. It reminds me to turn over my worries and fears to the Lord instead of trying to solve problems myself. He promises us peace when we trust in Him! So why do we insist on carrying around our burdens when God tells us to lay them down? If you are anxious today, go to Jesus and tell Him. He loves you and wants you to have an awesome day!

Phillipians 4:6-7
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ.

MEALS

Last night's dinner: Fred's Fish House
Roy and I sat down, placed our order and our pastor walked in! So he joined us for dinner and we shared a few good laughs. It was fun and I always enjoy a night off from cooking and counting calories. I had the slaw, 3 pieces of fried catfish, french fries, and 2 hushpuppies...all guilt free!

Then it was off to Dairy Queen for a mini Heath Blizzard. So over all, it was a fabulous date night. Now, back on track. Easy.

UPDATE:

Breakfast: 4 egg whites & 1 whole egg scrambled in coconut oil with 1 T hemp seeds

Mid Morning "Snack": Skinny latte at the hospital while visiting friends

Lunch: chicken breast & guacamole (same ole same ole)

Snack: banana & cashews

Dinner: Deer steaks, fresh sautéed green beans & salad

MEAL PLANNING

Tonight I'll be planning our meals for the coming week and make my shopping list (yes, I know...that's a really exciting Friday night, isn't it?!) It sure makes the week less stressful, not having to figure out what to fix.

I always try to get to Walmart EARLY on Saturday morning to get the necessities, then later in the day I go to Nature's Way, Truck Patch or the Meat Shop to get the good stuff - fruit, veggies and lean meats! Sundays are my "prep" days when I cook food for the week, chop veggies, and portion out my meals so I have NO EXCUSES!

Hope you all have a blessed day!
