STARTING OVER

Or at least it sure feels like it. I can't remember the last time I've had this much down time from exercise. I will admit I'm beginning to get a little grumpy. Ok, a lot grumpy!
So much so that I decided to jump on the spin bike yesterday after work and get in an easy hour and 15 minutes and 18.6 miles. My legs needed some action! Hopefully I spun that lactic acid right outta there!!

I really need this shirt!!
WORKOUT

Thank goodness Coach scheduled an easy run for me today! A zone 2 with 3 minute surges. I managed to get in 8.1 miles in 1:10 (8:44 avg) and felt pretty darn good. My breathing is still not 100% and as soon as I finished I had the mother of all coughing fits. This crud has got to go!!!!! Maybe I cleared my lungs out. The temperature was a perfect 35 degrees with barely any wind at all. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful morning for my comeback run! Thank you Lord!

DEVOTIONAL

Today's verses are just what I needed! I was feeling a little down, so I looked up "frustrated" in my bible's index. And right before me were these verses from Romans!

Romans 8:18-22

18 That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. 19 The created world itself can hardly wait for what's coming next. 20Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in 21 until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.

I need to relax, chill out and let God do His thing. Good times will come and this rough patch will soon be over. Every storm runs out of rain, right? I love verse 20 where it says "God reins it in until we are ready!" That is so cool. He knows what we need, when we need it. We do not! Trust and obey, for there's no other way.

MEALS

This was my lunch from yesterday, but it's the same thing I'm having today and it's delicious!! Meal prep is SO WORTH IT! I don't have to think, just heat and eat.

Breakfast: same as yesterday! Surprise, surprise!

Lunch: pictured above and oh so yummy :)

Snack: 1/4 cup raw cashews (just ordered a 5 lb. bag of these off Amazon!)

Dinner: Leftover roast, steamed veggies and a salad with flax oil & Sicilian lemon vinegar (from Raimondo Winery)

I'm getting my hair cut and colored today. Last month I got a blue streak because I was feeling a little rebellious. What will I do this time? Stay tuned... :)
Have an awesome day everyone!
